Alongside my academic studies, I completed work experience as a Medical Illustrator with Scott Carey, a Graphic Designer at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, where I contributed to the design of posters, leaflets, and internal communications for the trust. I also collaborated with Scott on exploring a navigation system inspired by Harry Beck’s iconic London Underground map, reimagined finding your way around the Hospital. This experience strengthened my understanding of how considered, user-focused design can simplify complex environments, and reinforced the value of clarity, structure, and purpose in visual communication.
