In my role as an App Store Optimisation Designer at Jellyfish, a global marketing agency, I partnered closely with art directors and senior designers to craft high-quality screenshots and icons that elevated clients’ App Store presence under tight timelines. Joining straight from university, I quickly adapted to a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, developing a strong eye for detail and a disciplined creative approach. Within six months, I began leading design delivery for smaller clients, contributing to collaborative optimisation efforts while building the foundations to support larger-scale accounts. Through this experience, I strengthened my ability to create at speed without compromising quality, communicate clearly, manage time effectively, and approach campaign optimisation with intention. This role gave me a solid understanding of how thoughtful design operates within marketing at scale, and has prepared me to bring both creativity and considered execution to future product-focused design work.
Beyond the day-to-day, working at Jellyfish continues to feel like a genuine privilege. I am surrounded by exceptionally talented people and trusted to contribute to work for globally recognised brands, from eBay to Google, which constantly raises my standards and ambitions. As my first role out of university, it has been both grounding and motivating, and continues to reinforce my belief in my ability to grow, contribute, and hold my own in a demanding creative environment. I approach this work with a strong sense of gratitude and a quiet confidence in what I’m capable of.
